After a lengthy bargaining process, the bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement today.
“Even before negotiations began October 14, 2015, your bargaining committee was committed to hearing your concerns and addressing them at the bargaining table. You told us you wanted job security, and we heard you loud and clear,” said Cheryl Robinson, Unifor 2002 President.
“Your committee has done a remarkable job identifying key issues of concern and challenging the status quo to create better opportunities for our members.”
The bargaining committee will provide highlights of the agreement and the new language at the upcoming ratification meetings next week in Montreal and Vancouver.
The bargaining committee unanimously recommends this collective agreement for ratification.
