Air Canada: Countdown to a Fair Deal

Air Canada: Countdown to a Fair Deal

February 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM

On February 11, 2011, CAW Local 2002 opens contract negotiations with Air Canada. CAW President Ken Lewenza, Assistant to the President, Peggy Nash and National Staff Representative, Leslie Dias will join your elected bargaining committee at the bargaining table.

During bargaining, communications is a top priority. Our goal as a union is to keep you informed and engaged in the process, every step of the way. We’ve said it before: bargaining starts and ends with you. You put forward your proposals, and ultimately, your vote decides on the deal.

To launch the opening of bargaining, we have designed stickers which can be displayed on water bottles, lunch bags, CAW lanyards and calendars - anywhere that sends the message that we are in the final Countdown to a FAIR DEAL.

Because that’s what we want and that is what we deserve: A FAIR DEAL. If we stand united, it’s what we will get.

Displaying the sticker not only lets the travelling public know that we are in bargaining but also that we are united in our resolve to make progress in this round of negotiations. Membership solidarity will be the key to our bargaining success.

Send a message of solidarity and strength!
