Announcement from Unifor/Air Canada Bargaining Committee Customer Sales and Service Agents

June 7, 2018 at 2:51 PM

Air Canada has initiated discussions about entering into early bargaining. The airline industry, workplace, and workforce are evolving rapidly, thus provoking a need for change. Air Canada is experiencing an unprecedented wave of profitability. Seizing on this opportunity the bargaining committee will enter into early bargaining to capitalize on their success and work to achieve gains for our membership.

Bargaining surveys will be distributed in mid-June and must be returned by July 31st.  Proposal meetings with your bargaining rep will take place in early September prior to commencing bargaining.  We strongly encourage everyone to participate. The schedule will be communicated once established.

We know our membership is extremely valuable to Air Canada’s success and profitability.  Air Canada’s Flight Path features our members as a key component, as we continue to deliver industry leading customer service.

Recognizing that we are entering Air Canada’s busiest peak period faced with the full expectation of uncontrollable circumstances, we encourage our members to continue to deliver exemplary customer service.

We look forward to your participation in our online surveys and attendance at upcoming proposal meetings.
