June 11, 2016 at 3:15 PM

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that the tentative agreement reached with Air Canada’s In-Flight Crew Scheduling group has been ratified by 97%. The union represents approximately 80 members in Quebec and Ontario who are responsible for scheduling for flight attendants for Air Canada.

The negotiated benefits of the 5-year collective agreement include lump-sum payments in year one and two, and a percentage wage increase in the third, fourth and fifth year of the agreement. Midnight premiums have been introduced into the contract as well as overtime premiums for Christmas and New Years’ Day. Improvements to the health benefit coverage, rest periods and sick leave language have also been agreed upon by the parties.

“After a difficult round of negotiations, our members have supported the tremendous effort Unifor has made to ensure the work of our members is recognized,” said Cheryl Robinson, Unifor 2002 President. “Unifor is committed to making gains for all aviation sector workers."

Unifor would like to thank all of the members who took the time to attend the meetings over the last two days and ratify this new collective agreement.
