Air Canada Employee Roadshow Update

Air Canada Employee Roadshow Update

November 18, 2017 at 6:35 PM

Air Canada recently offered C1 passes as incentives to attend the upcoming Roadshows conducted by the senior management group.  To be clear, we disagree with the concept of using higher priority passes as incentives.  As well, there was an inequity in terms of accessibility to these roadshows as they were not being conducted in all cities where our members work.  Members were to attend on their own time, yet many are required to be at work, running the operation, or were unable to attend for other reasons.

Through discussions with Air Canada, we were able to address the accessibility issues.  We have reached an agreement that enables all members to have access to the C1 pass through a more comprehensive plan to enable attendance in various formats, of the roadshows held thoroughout the year.

Roadshows are conducted periodically and we encourage members to attend if they are interested in Air Canada’s future plans.  There is an opportunity to get one C1 pass total during this 12-month period.  Roadshows will be planned in the near future for those cities that had been previously been excluded, YYT, YSJ, YHZ, YOW, and YEG. Information on the time, date and location of the next three roadshows will be released well in advance, so that those who wish to attend may plan ahead.
