This is to advise the Air Canada members of the upcoming changes to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. After a thorough review of proposals from several EAP providers, we are pleased to advise that Morneau Shepell has been selected to provide this important service to our members effective January 1, 2018.

After careful consideration and review, official notice has been provided to Aroon Shah & Associates that we will not be renewing the contract as our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. The current contract will conclude on December 31, 2017.  We have had a long and valuable association with Mr. Shah & Associates, and we thank him and his team for the many years of dedicated service.

In the interim, Air Canada members who require EAP services are encouraged to contact:

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is funded by Air Canada through the Employment Insurance Rebate Program and is administered by Unifor. The program is designed to provide strictly confidential and professional assistance to employees who may require assistance using an assessment process, a referral and aftercare.

Besides being strictly confidential, the Employee Assistance Program encourages individuals to seek help either directly through the Provider, Employee Assistance Coordinator, a Union Representative, a Supervisor, or a work colleague.

Throughout the transition process, we will communicate updates via e-news and our Local 2002website. Please ensure that you have subscribed to Unifor 2002’s e-news service at www.unifor2002.org
