ATS members in Calgary get bargaining off to great start

November 4, 2016 at 7:00 PM

The ATS-YYC District 240 bargaining committee held proposal meetings in Calgary on November 3, 2016.

Local 2002 represents 55 members at Calgary International Airport who work as cargo agents, GSE mechanics, and parts supervisors for Airport Terminal Services (ATS). Their collective agreement expired on July 31, 2016 but remains in effect until a new contract is agreed upon.

At the meeting, members were provided with the results of the bargaining survey they had submitted and given the opportunity to vote on proposals. Committee representatives addressed any questions and concerns and outlined the next steps going forward into bargaining.

The committee will now formulate the proposals that will be presented to the company when bargaining commences November 15-17.

Once again, thank you for getting our first round of negotiations off to a great start. It is your engagement and participation that determines our success at the bargaining table.
Stay tuned and stay united.
