CLS Catering Vancouver ratifies new Collective Agreement

Unifor 2002 is pleased to announce that the members of CLS Catering Inc. Vancouver have ratified a new Collective Bargaining Agreement by 71 per cent.

The members have agreed to a 2-year deal bringing them wage increases of 3% each year for the top tier wage earners and 2% each year for those progressing through the wage scale.

Other improvements include:

  • Increase to pension plan and COLA (cost-of-living adjustment)

  • increase to vision care

  • addition of 25 permanent positions added over two years of the Agreement (15 immediately + 10 after May 1, 2018

  • changes to the Agreement that will strengthen existing language
      

"Your Unifor bargaining committee worked extremely hard in achieving this new contract," said Unifor 2002 President Euila Leonard. "The committee should be commended for their determination in obtaining an agreement that the membership was able to ratify. The new contract brings additional jobs to the bargaining unit, along with wage increases and improved language that strengthens members' working conditions.

Unifor 2002 would like to thank all of the members that came out to vote on the Agreement.

The term of the agreement is valid from May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2019.
