Please do not speak to the media, but rather direct
your concerns or questions to National Officer, Brother Bruce Snow.
It is very important not to listen to rumours at
this point in time; we are aware certain company Supervisors are advising
Casuals that they are required to report for work in the event of a dispute.
This is not correct, Casuals are members of Local 2002 and in the event of a
lock out or strike, Casuals must not report for work.
We will be communicating via BULLETINS with the
membership on a regular basis. Do not lose solidarity because of propaganda or
fear mongering messages from the company.
The bargaining committee would like to thank the
membership at this time for their continuing show of support and solidarity from
base to base.
We will report back on the progress of this
process.
