Exploits Valley Air Services (EVAS) – Collective Bargaining Survey

Exploits Valley Air Services (EVAS) – Collective Bargaining Survey

July 5, 2018 at 2:45 PM
As many of our members are aware, our Collective Agreement with EVAS expires on February 4, 2019.  To prepare for bargaining, the Bargaining Committee has developed a survey in which we encourage all members to complete.

Once you have completed the survey you can submit the completed survey to your Bargaining Committee representatives or you can email the survey to [email protected]. Deadline for completion of the survey is July 23, 2018.  This is your window of opportunity to provide your feedback. We want to hear from you!

Your responses to the bargaining survey will help shape the Local’s bargaining proposals and priorities.  All information collected will be treated as strictly confidential by your Bargaining Committee. We hope you answer as many questions as possible.

The Bargaining Committee will be scheduling proposal meetings sometime in August and they will be held in both Halifax and Gander.  The purpose of these proposal meetings is so that we can discuss with the membership the survey results. This is also an opportunity for the members to bring forward any issues or concerns they may have as it relates to the collective bargaining process.

Newly Elected Bargaining Committee representatives
Your newly elected Bargaining Committee representatives: Stephen Dodsworth, Brian Burris, and Lyndon Rowe along with Ashley Watkins, Assistant to the President, and Chad Johnston, National Staff Representative will meet in September to discuss the results of the surveys and determine monetary and non-monetary proposals.  Once these proposals have been completed, the Union will set dates to meet with the Company to exchange proposals.

Survey Instructions:
Members are asked to list the bargaining issues (in priority order) that are deemed most relevant for the upcoming negotiations and provide us with any information you wish to address on page 2. The Bargaining Committee will ensure to keep you informed throughout the bargaining progress.

Please ensure that you keep us updated with your contact information and confirm that you have subscribed to Unifor 2002’s e-news at www.unifor2002.org.

Our fight is your fight, and we will continue to fight for equality as we build a stronger more relevant Union. Unifor is a Union for Everyone!
