Unifor reaches progressive tentative agreement for Envoy Air members

October 29, 2014 at 11:30 AM
Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement with Envoy Air Inc. has been reached.

Bargaining opened on May 20, 2014 and progressed slowly. On September 15, after talks stalled over monetary issues, the union filed for conciliation with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).

Your Local 2002 District 341 bargaining committee and representatives from the company met on October 27 with conciliator Kim Beemer from the FMCS. Together, the parties were able to construct a progressive agreement that provides substantial improvements for the membership at Envoy Air.

Your District 341 Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends that you vote 'YES' to this agreement.

Ratification meetings are scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 1000-1200 and 1400-1600 at the Sheraton Gateway, in the Lugano room at Terminal 3.

District 341 members are strongly encouraged to attend these very important meetings. As per the Local 2002 Bylaws, voting will only take place during scheduled meeting times. Highlight sheets and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) outlining all language changes will be available for review. Bargaining committee representatives will be on hand to present and discuss details of the contract.

In solidarity,

Your District 341 Bargaining Committee:
Suman Alagarasa (Chairperson)
Nicole Chiofalo
Alejandro Martinez
Ashley Watkins, Unifor Local 2002 Executive Assistant,
Leslie Dias, Unifor National Representative
