First Air: CAW Arbitration Award - Collective Agreement

First Air: CAW Arbitration Award - Collective Agreement

April 26, 2013 at 12:00 PM

As you are likely already aware, Arbitrator Tom Hodges has released the final and binding award pertaining to wages and contract duration for the new collective agreement between First Air and CAW Local 2002 members. The new collective agreement has a duration of two years, backdated to May 8, 2012 when the previous contract expired.

Since the new agreement expires on May 8, 2014, and because there were minimal changes to the language, both CAW and First Air have agreed to issue a Summary of Changes document rather than print entirely new collective agreements. Please find attached a copy of the Summary of Changes, which includes all changed language along with the new pay tables.

You will notice that the document includes the "old language" on the left hand side of the page under the header 'Current Language'. The newly negotiated language that is now in effect is located on the right hand side of the page under 'New Language'.

There is a pocket located at the back of your 2009-2012 Collective Agreement, in which you can insert the Summary of Changes document for your easy reference. Other than the changes attached, all other provisions of the 2009-2012 agreement remain in effect.

Should you have any questions regarding the attached please contact your CAW representative or Human Resources.
