Flair Airlines – Bargaining Update:

décembre 1, 2017 à 16:05

Last week, the Flair Air Bargaining Committee met with the company to exchange bargaining proposals. The sessions, which were held over five days, were very productive and positive, and common ground has been found with the company. Both parties are committed to negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement in a timely manner.

During last week meetings, we have signed a number of articles and clauses that will be incorporated into the tentative agreement. The following is an example of some of those items, and along with other clauses, that have been agreed upon.
  •  Preamble
  •  Union security
  •  Discipline and Discharge
  •  Grievance/Arbitration Process (etc.)
  •  Discrimination/Harassment
  •  Furloughs, Recalls, Job Postings, and Crew Rest
  •  Injury on the Job
  •  Training and Education
  •  Company uniforms
Both parties were successful in making some further progress, however, there is still much more to be discussed. The parties are scheduled to meet in Kelowna, British Columbia on January 9 -11, 2018, we are also looking to add and schedule more dates in the later part of January 2018.
