Unifor reaches tentative agreement with GTAA

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that it has reached a tentative agreement with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) and its 1,050 members who are responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson airport. The current collective agreement expires on July 31, 2016.

"Your bargaining committee worked diligently over the last 5 months and remained determined to bring a fair and equitable deal to the membership," said Cheryl Robinson, Unifor 2002 President. "Members at the GTAA are highly skilled individuals who ensure that Canada's largest airport facility runs seamlessly on a daily basis. This deal reflects the important contribution of our membership.

Members will have an opportunity to hear details of the tentative agreement and vote at upcoming ratification meetings as follows:

All Unifor Local 2002 members at the GTAA are strongly encouraged to attend one of these meetings. As per the Local 2002 Bylaws, voting will only take place during the scheduled ratification meetings. Bargaining committee representatives will be present and available to discuss the details of the tentative agreement.
