Jazz CSA/ACS: Ratification Meetings

As previously communicated on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, a tentative agreement has been reached with Jazz Aviation’s Customer and Aircraft Services group.  Your Jazz Bargaining Committee will be conducting ratification meetings to discuss and vote on a new five-year collective agreement.

At the upcoming ratification meetings, the bargaining report will be presented to the membership in full, and for official purposes, a copy of the memorandum of the settlement will be available. Prior to the ratification vote, there will be a Question and Answer period for the members.

The Bargaining team will be on hand to answer your queries.  Listed below is are the partial highlights of the tentative agreement which was concluded on January 9th, 2018, by Unifor Local 2002 and Jazz CSA/ACS Bargaining Committee.

PARTIAL HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Increase in wages, cash bank premiums for all employees, increase in benefits. Increase to pension in 2021 for members with 14 years of service and beyond the Company will increase the pension contribution from 6% to 7%. There are flexible pension options for new hires, increased and new premiums, bereavement time for grandparents, increased per diems and relief assignment allowances.
  • Improvements and clarifications of language for part-time work rules, training, general holiday pay, and family care days.
  • New language for appointment days, recall, and domestic violence leave.
As per Local 2002 Bylaws, voting will only take place during the prescribed meeting times.

Complete understanding of the tentative agreement is necessary prior to voting. The Bargaining Committee is unanimously recommending the ratification of this newly bargained tentative agreement to all of our members. You are strongly encouraged to attend a ratification meeting to hear from your elected Bargaining Committee and the Executive leadership of Local 2002. You, the members, will ultimately decide if this agreement is acceptable for you.
