Your Jazz Technical Services bargaining committee
was prepared to meet with the employer last week to exchange proposals. However,
with the recent organizational changes announced by the company, we were not
able to do so. As was mentioned in the bargaining proposal meetings, Unifor gave
notice to bargain on June 29, per the Canada Labour Code. Currently, we are
waiting on forthcoming meeting dates the company.
Your bargaining committee feels optimistic that it
will be able to reach a new collective bargaining agreement that will meet the
approval of the membership.
