On March 14 and 15, the Bargaining Committee along with Ron Smith - CAW’s Director of Transportation and Darryl Draeger - Local 2002’s Executive Assistant met to review the membership’s bargaining surveys and put together a bargaining agenda that will be presented to the employer.
Further, the current Collective Agreement was reviewed for areas that require appropriate changes. Over the next two weeks formal language will be developed for the proposed changes and the Committee will meet again the first week of April for a final review.
Currently, the Union and Company are trying to secure dates to meet and begin the collective bargaining process.
