We are pleased to announce that Unifor members at Jazz Technical Services have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement by 78 per cent.

After a lengthy bargaining process, the committee was successful in securing existing scope work (line, heavy and shops) in the event that Jazz Aviation elects to operate a separate Aircraft Operating Certificate (AOC). Further, Unifor has secured work on any new aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation/Jive under Air Canada’s Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) and any third party work brought into the company.

"Changes to the Capacity Purchase Agreement between Jazz and Air Canada would see a very different landscape for our members," said Unifor Local 2002 president Cheryl Robinson. "I am proud of the collective efforts of this bargaining committee which was creative in developing solutions to ensure the feasibility of the heavy maintenance and shops facilities in an ever changing market."

Unifor is Canada’s largest private sector union, with more than 310,000 members across the country, working in every major sector of the Canadian economy.
