Jervis B. Webb members ratify new collective agreement

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that the membership at Jervis B. Webb's Airport Services Division has ratified a new collective agreement. More than 80% of the membership attended and voted on the tentative agreement. 100% of attendees voted in support of ratification.

The four-year contract, which was reached on December 8, 2016 will be in effect until March 31, 2020 and features improvements such as:

  • Significant wage increases effective April 1, 2016

  • Reintroduction of Article 24.03 - 2% salary increase

  • Improvements to language on union rights

  • General improvement to working conditions

  • Introduction of a new classification: Junior Tech

  • Increased uniform and safety equipment allowance

  • Meal allowance for mandatory overtime etc.
      

"I would like to commend the bargaining committee who have worked so hard this past year to bring our members a contract with substantial gains." said Local 2002 President Cheryl Robinson.

Local 2002 represents over 90 members at Jervis B. Webb who are responsible for the operations and maintenance of the baggage belt systems in terminal one at Toronto’s Pearson airport.
