WEBB Airport Services Ratifies Agreement

We are pleased to announce that members of WEBB Airport Services in Toronto have ratified their first agreement by 90%.


Highlights of the agreement include:

1. Wage Increase

Year 1:

= 3%

Year 2:

= 2.75%

Year 3:

= 2.75%
 
2. Work Schedules

Current work schedules stay in effect; any modifications require Union's consent

 
3. Shift Exchange

No restrictions to number of shift exchanges

 
4. Overtime

Procedure established. Pay 1 1/2 x regular rate

 
5. Meal Period

Half hour paid lunch break

 
6. Rest Periods

Two paid breaks of 15 minutes

 
7. Grievance/Arbitration

A process providing ability to appeal

 
8. Disciplinary Notices

Removed from file after 18 months

 
9. Classification

BSO, BHT

 
10. Seniority

Based on date of hire into each classification

 
11. Lay-Off

By seniority

 
12. Recall

24 months by seniority

 
13. Vacations

12-60 months 2 weeks - paid at 4% on wages / 61 months or greater 3 weeks - paid at 6% on wages

 
14. Stat Holiday

Paid at 4% on wages

 
15. Health & Safety

Procedure Established

 
16. Benefits

Status quo exception premium for family extended - health benefits will be $50

 
17. Pensions

4 1/2% 1st year; 4 1/2% 2nd year; 5% 3rd year. Total increase of 2% of Employer's contribution

 
18. Sick Pay

Paid at 2% on wages

 
19. Uniforms

$95 per year for safety boots and $125 for prescription safety glasses with receipt

 
20. PEL

$1,000.00 per year
