WEBB Airport Services unanimously ratifies agreement

We are pleased to announce that Local 2002 members at WEBB Airport Services in Toronto have ratified their collective agreement. The Bargaining Committee should be commended for their efforts.

The results of the ratification vote are as follows:

Contract highlights include:

  1. Wages:
    • In 2009 - a lump sum payment of $1,000 for those with an employment relationship upon ratification.
    • In 2010 + 2%
    • In 2011 + 2%
  2. Vacation pay of 6% will be paid upon completion of the 61 months of employment retroactive to 2008.
  3. Personal leave of absence requests extended to 90 days.
  4. Enhanced shift exchange language.
  5. Overtime proffered to those while on a shift exchange.
  6. Seniority respected when transferring crews.
  7. Recall rights extended.
  8. Employer to pay cost for alterations of uniforms.
  9. Employer to pay up to $125 annually for the cost of work boots.
  10. No blackout periods for vacation.
  11. The District Chairperson will be entitled to paid time off to conduct union business etc.
  12. Procedure for adjusting crews based on seniority
  13. NO to Company’s demands on restricting SHIFT TRADES
  14. NO to Company’s demands to co- share on prescription drugs.
