On Monday March 3, 2014 members at Webb Airport Services were awarded the operations and maintenance contract for Pearson’s terminal one baggage system.

Since 2004, District 370 members at Webb have done an exemplary job of maintaining and overseeing the baggage systems in Canada’s largest and busiest airport.

"It’s gratifying to see that workers at Webb are being acknowledged for providing such a reliable service with pride and efficiency,” said District Chairperson Chuck Doyle. "We’re looking forward to continuing that great service.”

The new five year contract comes into effect on May 1, 2014.

"I’m pleased that the GTAA have recognized the worth of our members’ experience and hard work,” commented Unifor Local 2002 President Jamie Ross. "This is really welcome news, in such uncertain times for air transport workers."

Unifor represents 86 members at Webb Airport Services who are responsible for the operations and maintenance of the baggage belt systems in terminal one at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
