Yesterday Unifor 2002 issued a statement
regarding the 2017 Unifor 2002 District Elections. Errors were made in this
statement and we would like to take this time to re-release the document in its
entirety.
Message from the President
Greetings,
I would like to take this opportunity to
congratulate the nominees of this year’s Unifor 2002 District elections. We had
a record number of candidates who put forward their nominations. Thank you to
everyone who submitted nominations and an enormous salute to the nominees for
accepting.
We want to encourage everyone to use the online
voting process. Electronic voting is safe, fast, secure and convenient. You will
be able to access it, from anywhere you can get an internet connection – please
note:
you MUST have an updated voter profile.
How Do I Vote?
You will receive an email from
unifor2002@simplyvoting.com prior to the election. It will contain your secure
login information and a link to the electronic election ballot(s). Be sure to
add [email protected] to your address book to ensure messages are not
considered junk mail.
You do
NOT need to update your voter profile to
vote in the next election if in the last 12 months:
NOTE: If you have updated your profile and have not
received an email confirmation, please check your junk mail folder.
Electronic voting will take place as follows:
Round 1: September
19 - 21
Round 2: October 3 - 5
Round 3: October 17 - 19
If you have any
questions or concerns about your district’s elections, please contact your
district elections committee or your
Vice President.
In addition to
electronic voting, we will also provide workplace balloting as a secondary
alternative. Workplace vote dates, times and locations will be posted at each
work location.
Please note: acclaimed and nominated candidates will be
posted in each work location. We urge you to make electronic voting a success by
participating online.
Best of luck to all the candidates in the upcoming
elections.
In Solidarity,
Euila Leonard – President Unifor Local
2002
