UNIFOR FOR WESTJET

Dear Members,

As you may be aware, pilots flying for both WestJet and Encore announced they have joined the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). This is great news for our brothers and sisters at WestJet, after many years of dedicated service, WestJet employees are seeking to unionize in efforts to pursue protection, security and have their voices heard.

At Unifor, we are reaching out to Customer Service, Guest Service, and Baggage Service Agents at WestJet to initiate a conversation on the benefits of joining our union. Unifor believes that workers in the airline sector are stronger when we are united and working together for a common purpose. As a unionized workforce, we demand respect from our employers.

Over the coming weeks, members from Unifor Local 2002, will be on location in four major Canadian airports: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto. Organizers from Local 2002, will be actively engaging WestJet employees on how joining a union can enhance their work life. Additionally, our organizers will be offering their expertise on how WestJet employees can organize in their workplace.

This is where we need your assistance. If you know of any WestJet employees who would benefit from joining our union, please do not hesitate to share this information with the representatives listed below.

Now is the time to let our organizers know.
