Your Morningstar bargaining committee met with representatives from the company on January 19, 2015 to continue negotiations.
The company presented their written response to the bargaining committee’s proposals which were presented on January 7. Many of the non-monetary issues had already been agreed upon and so the majority of the remaining items to be discussed were of a monetary nature. The parties discussed at length the impact that these items would have on the membership and the company.
After much deliberation, your bargaining committee presented a counter proposal to the company. The company determined that it will require additional time to review and cost the items, therefore the following day of bargaining was cancelled.
Bargaining will reconvene on March 19 and 20, 2015. We will continue to keep you informed as we progress.
