The ORNGE Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that they have ratified their second Collective Bargaining Agreement by a margin of 96 per cent.
The results of the vote are as follows:
Yes: 94
No: 4
Significant changes were made to the agreement that benefited and improved every member’s quality of life. "I am pleased that the company has acknowledged and fairly compensated this incredibly dedicated and hard working group of employees," commented Leslie Dias, CAW Local 2002 President.
The bargaining committee was relentless in ensuring that the priorities of the membership remained front and centre throughout the bargaining process. “The membership was clear and consistent about their priorities and their support simplified our job as a committee,” said Chuck Telkey, chairperson of the bargaining committee.
