Company imposes “final offer” agreement on pilots at Perimeter Aviation

October 25, 2016 at 3:00 PM

Since becoming the bargaining agent for pilots at Perimeter Aviation, your elected bargaining committee has met with the employer on nine occasions in the last seven months. Negotiations were slow-going but the committee remained optimistic throughout that progress would be made.

On Friday October 21, the company presented the bargaining committee with a “final offer” agreement, effectively signaling their unwillingness to continue meaningful negotiations on issues that are important to the committee and the membership.

The bargaining committee does not support this final offer agreement, but has a responsibility to present this “final offer” and explain the details on what has been bargained to date.

The union is scheduling a ratification meeting on the evening of November 11. Confirmation of the time and location will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.

The committee would like to thank our members for their patience throughout this process. Soon, we will be providing detailed information for members to vote electronically. In order to vote, you must provide your personal email address to your bargaining committee representatives ASAP.

We will continue to keep you informed regarding details of the upcoming ratification meeting and voting process.

In solidarity,

Your Unifor 2002 bargaining committee:
Eric Ketonen
Matt Brooker
Ashley Watkins, Assistant to the Local President
Cheryl Robinson, Local 2002 President
Steve Kerrigan, National Staff Representative
