May 27, 2016 at 4:15 PM

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that the tentative agreement reached with Porter FBO District 363 has been ratified. An overwhelming majority attended the ratification meeting to hear the details of the agreement.

The negotiated benefits of the new three-year collective agreement include wage increases, additional vacation after 10 years of service, a boot and uniform allowance, compassionate care leave, lockers, an expedited arbitration process, improved hours of work and a new process to establish seniority.

“We are proud to represent this new group of employees at Unifor,” said Cheryl Robinson, President of Unifor 2002. “The bargaining committee worked diligently to negotiate gains that will benefit our members. I’d like to thank the membership for their solidarity and support throughout the bargaining process.”

Unifor represents approximately 14 groomers at Billy Bishop City Airport who clean the interior of aircraft.
We would like to thank all of the members who took the time to attend the meetings and ratify this new collective agreement.
