Following ratification meetings held on Wednesday, August 1
st, 2018, Unifor Local 2002 wishes to announce that a new three-year collective agreement has been ratified with the members of Swissport – Toronto. The agreement was ratified by 67 per cent, the term of the agreement is in effect until July 31st, 2021.
The new contract includes an increase in wage rate for Top and Off scale employees – year one 2.00% increase, year two – 2.25% increase, and the third year 2.50% increase, as well as a new wage grid for current and newly hired members. Members will see increases in Night premium shift (Article 5.04), along with an increase in premiums for the following positions: Lead, Flight Editor, Baggage, Ticketing, Training and District Chairperson.
A signing bonus of $500.00 for active full-time employees, and $250.00 bonus for active part time employees which will be paid in the last pay cycle of 2018. Increase in Sick Leave – after five years of service both full and part time employees will be entitled to five (5) days paid per year.
