Swissport Vancouver members: say “NO” to Tentative Agreement

March 5, 2018 at 2:45 PM
Following the ratification meetings held on Friday, March 2nd, 2018, the Swissport Vancouver members have overwhelmingly rejected the tentative agreement recommended by their Bargaining Committee.

Your Bargaining Committee has worked very hard over the past nine months to ensure they had presented a fair and equitable agreement on the member’s behalf. They fought very hard to maintain the excellent medical and dental benefits in which the Company was trying to make drastic changes to, as well as, negotiating good percentage wage increases for all of the membership.

However, the members rejected the wage offer and more importantly the new scheduling process that was proposed.  As this agreement was reached through the assistance of a Federal Mediator, while in the conciliation process, we are currently reviewing our next steps.

Your Bargaining Committee would like to thank the membership for taking part in the ratification process and we will provide you with an update in the coming days. Please ensure you have subscribed to Unifor 2002 e-news at www.unifor2002.org
