Porter: Ramp Attendants (YTZ)

(Toronto) Our members work as ramp and lead ramp attendants at Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto. They perform ground handling functions, including marshalling of aircraft, loading and unloading of passenger baggage and cargo, lavatory servicing, and aircraft towing for all Porter flights arriving and departing YTZ. Lead Ramp Attendants work as members of the ramp team, but also conduct on-the-job training, and are responsible to complete and provide flight crews with load forms. They promote an overall safe and efficient operation from a ramp handling perspective.

Porter: Customer Service Representatives (YTZ)

(Toronto) Members provide customer service to the traveling public, as customer service representatives, customer service ambassadors, and lead customer service representatives. Members are responsible for checking-in passengers and baggage, boarding of passengers and securing of flights, as well as overseeing the Domestic and International baggage area, and assisting with lost baggage and centralized baggage functions. Leads work to promote an operationally safe and efficient environment, and are also responsible for on-the-job training of other members. Our members act as Welcome Ambassadors for arriving passengers at Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ), and assist all passengers with special needs throughout their travel experience at YTZ.

Porter: Fixed Base Operation (YTZ)

(Toronto) Our members are responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of Porter Aircraft at YTZ. This includes overnight grooming and bio-hazardous clean up on-board aircraft during the day. There are lead groomers who oversee the overnight grooming functions as well.  Our members are also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of facilities and hangars at Billy Bishop City Airport in Toronto.

Porter: Customer Service Representatives (YOW)

(Ottawa) Our members work at Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport as Customer Service Representatives, Customer Service Leads, Customer Service Ambassadors, and Station Supervisors. Our members provide customer service-related functions to the traveling public when flying on Porter flights. These functions include passenger check-in, boarding and securing of flights, ensuring regulatory requirements are met with respect to passenger handling and assisting all Porter passengers with special needs. The leads and supervisors assist in overseeing the operation, mentoring and coaching, and working to ensure a safe and on- time flight experience.
