On March 23
rd, 2022,
Savithri Alahari, ASP District Chairperson, along with
Pearl Almeida Unifor National Representative, and
Denise Cochrane Assistant to the President-Local 2002 met virtually with the ASP management team to discuss the recent termination of contracts – affecting the Canine Division and Operational Support Representatives (OSR) and its impact it has had on our membership. As we previously communicated, on February 11, 2022, Unifor was notified by ASP Security that they had lost these contracts effective
May 1, 2022.
Although we have no further information to provide the membership at this time, the Union is prepared to state that the discussions with the company are heading in a positive direction. We expect to meet with ASP in the coming weeks and we will continue to keep you informed of any developments.
We remain committed to ensuring our members are supported and informed as we work through this difficult process.
