Attention Unifor 2002 members at ASP

Attention Unifor 2002 members at ASP

March 1, 2022 at 5:30 PM

To: Operational Support Representatives at ASP Security,

It has come to our attention that an undisclosed number of our Operational Support Representatives (OSR) have been approached by individuals claiming to be from another union. These individuals are asking Unifor 2002 members to sign union cards and submit a small fee to compensate their union organizing costs.

As we communicated on February 3, 2022, Operational Support Representatives (OSR) and Canine Explosive Dog Detection (EDD) employee groups will remain employed with ASP Security and part of Unifor 2002 until May 1, 2022.

We are advising Unifor members to exercise caution and refrain from signing any union cards and/or submitting any payment to individuals claiming to be part of another Union group at this time. If you are hired and begin working at Dexterra Group (facilities management and operations provider) or another service provider after May 1, 2022, you may sign a union card of your choice.

If you have questions or concerns regarding this issue, please contact:
Denise Cochrane, Assistant to the Local President
Charlotte Pape, Unifor Local 2002 Vice President, Central Region
