The CAW and ASP have agreed to reconvene in the coming days and attempt to conclude collective bargaining. As a result of this positive gesture, the CAW will not be issuing a strike notice at this time.
In the meantime, both the Union and ASP management acknowledge that there is an urgent need to resolve both seniority and workplace schedule issues as soon as possible. Both parties will be working diligently to find a solution to these two issues as soon as possible so that all members may have some stability in the workplace.
We will notify the membership as soon as dates are set to resume collective bargaining.
