Air Canada has advised Unifor that they will be announcing that all details (per the agreement of June 2015) ending the secondment of Air Canada members to work in the Jazz Stations (YYG, YQM, YQT, YQB,YXE, YQR, YSJ) would be nullified, and any elections members made to transfer, sever and retire would be cancelled.
Unifor has contacted Arbitrator Martin Teplitsky to ask for his immediate intervention with their decision, as members have made significant life plans as a result of the agreement. Arbitrator Teplitsky has ordered a teleconference immediately. The exact date and time is undetermined, but will take place this week. Unifor is seeking that the elections people have made based on the information to date be respected.
Unifor will communicate further as developments unfold.
