Following our successful arbitration hearing, Unifor President Jerry Dias and
Air Canada CEO Calin Rovinescu have jointly written to Minister of Transport
Lisa Raitt requesting the government intervene with the GTAA to return
wheelchair handling work to our members at Pearson Airport.
Your bargaining committee has returned to Toronto to meet with Air Canada
this week. Updates will be provided as required, but it is important to remember
that the committee cannot discuss specific details of negotiations until a
tentative deal is reached.
Remember to wear your R.E.S.P.E.C.T wristband; your show of support in the
workplace equals our success at the table.
