Unifor Local 2002 is very pleased to announce that the membership of Airport Terminal Services (ATS) in Toronto have ratified a new collective agreement by 100 per cent.
The new three year agreement goes into effect April 9, 2015 and expires April 8, 2018. Highlights of the agreement include:
- Wage increases of 2% and 1.75% in years 2 and 3
- Health, dental and insurance benefits for all employees
- Minimum hours guarantee for all part time employees
- Best scheduling language preserved
- New return to work and domestic violence language
"I would like to commend our bargaining committee for their strength and dedication through this very difficult set of negotiations," said Unifor Local 2002 president Cheryl Robinson. "By ratifying this agreement, the membership have achieved job security in the extremely competitive world of airline ground handling at Pearson Airport.”
Unifor represents approximately 150 workers who workers at ATS who handle passenger and ramp services for Iceland Air and United Airlines.
