Canadian North: Tentative Agreement Reached!

September 11, 2013 at 7:45 AM

To: All Unifor Local 2002 Members employed at Canadian North

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Late last night your bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement with Canadian North.

Your Unifor Local 2002 bargaining committee, pushed hard for a fair deal for the members at Canadian North.

The union was preparing for a strike deadline of 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013. The strike deadline has been lifted pending ratification of the tentative agreement.

We would like to thank the Strike Captains for their determination to support and protect the membership.

Your committee is presently making preparations for membership ratification meetings which will be conducted over the next two weeks.

Your Union Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends acceptance and encourages your turn out and participation in attending the meeting and the vote to follow.

The bargaining committee would like to thank the membership at this time for their continuing show of support and solidarity from base to base.

In the event anyone has any questions about this or negotiations please don’t hesitate to call the undersigned.

On behalf of your Negotiation Committee,
Aida Kirameddine
Theresa Amicarelli

In solidarity,

Bruce Snow
Unifor National Representative
