Canadian North – (Crew Schedulers) Members: Reach a Tentative Agreement

February 9, 2022 at 12:21 PM

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that late yesterday afternoon the Canadian North (CDN) bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement.

The Canadian North – Crew Schedulers were certified and joined our Local on June 17, 2021. This is the first collective agreement for our new members at CDN North and if ratified the agreement will be in effect until December 2, 2023.  Bargaining opened three months ago and several weeks of hard work for the bargaining committee followed. The support of the members was crucial in shaping this tentative agreement and we are confident the members will be satisfied.

“The past two years have been difficult for the Canadian airline industry.  I’m thankful that despite the obstacles, we were able to reach a tentative agreement that will ensure our highly trained members will maintain equitable wages, benefits, and pension, said Tammy Moore, President Unifor Local 2002.  I would like to thank the bargaining committee and the CDN North members for their support and for placing their confidence in our Union”.

Upcoming Ratification Meetings
The bargaining committee will be conducting ratification meetings – details to follow shortly. Highlights and details of the agreement will be announced at these meetings. A ratification vote will take place following the meetings.

On behalf of the Bargaining Committee, we would like to thank the members of CDN North for their support and solidarity.  Please ensure that you have subscribed to Unifor 2002's e-news service at unifor2002.org.
