Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that a first tentative and ‘merged’ agreement was reached with Canadian North Airlines late Friday evening in Ottawa.

"I congratulate the entire bargaining team for remaining focused during these negotiations, even while facing the challenges of a global pandemic," said Euila Leonard, President of Unifor Local 2002. "Our members of the merged Canadian North and First Air families continue to be the pillar of success for this new dynamic airline."

Due to COVID-19, bargaining commenced in July utilizing video conferencing technology until it was safe to meet in person.

The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by all members within the CSA, Cargo and Ramp classifications. Details of the tentative agreement will be provided at the upcoming ratification meetings which will be announced in the coming days. Members will have the opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions prior to voting on acceptance of the new contract.
