Bargaining officially begins for members at Hilton, Saint John

May 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM

Your Unifor/Hilton Bargaining Committee met with the employer on May 5 and 6 in Saint John where the parties exchanged initial proposals. This officially begins the process to obtain a new collective agreement for members.

The current contract expired on December 31, 2021.

After surveying the membership in 2021, the Unifor Committee were able to determine the key components of what will be negotiated in the next contract. As active bargaining begins, the Committee will keep the membership updated via the Unifor 2002 website (unifor2002.org), and also by means of email communications. If you have not already done so, please subscribe to this service via the following link.

In order to protect the integrity of the negotiations process, the Committee cannot discuss specific details with the membership while in talks with the employer. However, we will continue to keep you informed with further developments.

Additional meeting dates have been secured for June 13-15.
