Your Unifor Bargaining Committee met again with the employer last week continuing talks to reach a new collective agreement for members in Porter Airlines’ Customer Service group. Talks continue to progress slowly but are moving in a positive direction.
At this juncture, the parties have not finalized a new contract, and further bargaining dates are required. The union and employer will convene again on November 17, 2022.
As Unifor and Porter Airlines are in "active" negotiations, both parties can only provide limited information concerning what is said and done at the bargaining table. Elected union representatives cannot divulge detailed information as to maintain the integrity of the bargaining process. Unifor 2002 will provide general updates as they become available, however, all other information should be taken as speculative.
Please know that your Unifor bargaining team is fighting hard for the membership and that further updates will be provided after the parties meet again next month.
