Your Unifor Bargaining Committee met with the Employer in person on Thursday, December 8, continuing talks to reach a new collective agreement for members of the Porter Airlines’ ramp group. The Unifor Committee has tabled a fair and reasonable agreement that continues to emphasize key priorities on behalf of the membership. Although talks continue slowly, we are making progress on bargaining priorities initially put forward.
The Employer has introduced, and continues to introduce, amendments since our last round of negotiations. As a result, we want to ensure that the impact of these changes is included in our discussions and addressed during the current round of negotiations.
Your continued solidarity and support is imperative for the Committee to continue to push this employer so we can ultimately reach a fair and equitable deal. The work performed by the members in this unit is important and essential to the viability of Porter Airlines, and the Employer needs to recognize it. Unifor will continue to push forward with your strength and support.
NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUE INTO 2023
We are in the process of securing additional bargaining dates with the Employer in the new year. We will advise once those dates have been confirmed.

As the bargaining process continues, the Committee will keep members updated on any developments. It is important to note, that in order to protect the integrity of the negotiations process, the Committee cannot discuss specific details with the membership while in active talks with the Employer.
