Propair: Negotiations Update for November 25, 2021

November 25, 2021 at 12:00 PM

Conciliation meetings:

  • November 10 – 12, 2021
  • November 23 – 24, 2021

This week, your Unifor Bargaining Committee and the employer met with the appointed conciliator to continue negotiations.

Although some progress has been made at the negotiating table, there are still important issues to be resolved.

In respect for the negotiation process, a detailed account of the provisionally agreed-to and outstanding issues will not be provided at this stage. Our next meeting with the employer is scheduled for December 1-3. During this week, we plan to finalize our non-monetary proposals and we plan to move forward with our monetary demands.

IMPORTANT – VACATION BID FOR 2022

When biding vacation in 2021, the members had expressed to the Committee their desire to change the vacation reference period as defined in article 14.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Given that the vacation bid for 2022 is due to be made shortly, we cannot wait until the end of the current negotiations to make this change. Your Unifor Committee, has therefore, agreed with the employer to finalize a letter of agreement to this effect.
