Propair members reject Employer’s offer and vote for strike action

February 5, 2022 at 8:40 AM

On February 4, 2022, a majority of the Propair members participated in virtual Zoom meetings to listen to their bargaining committee and to vote on the employer’s offer.  Following the vote, Propair members have rejected the employer’s offer by 87 percent and are in favour of strike action if necessary.

Our members gave us a strong mandate going forward. This sends a clear message to the employer to address our concerns and bargain a fair and equitable agreement. Members have been working throughout the pandemic without an agreement since October 2021.

The Bargaining Committee would like to thank the members for their support during these negotiations.  Your collective confidence and determination for fairness and respect is a motivating factor and your committee remains confident that we will reach a fair agreement.

We will continue to keep you updated as we work through the bargaining process.  Please ensure that you keep us updated with your contact information and confirm that you have subscribed to Unifor 2002’s e-news at www.unifor2002.org/
