A MESSAGE FROM YOUR UNIFOR BARGAINING COMMITTEE

Unifor is aware that your employer – ASP Security – has been in communication with you regarding the recently announced contract offer. What your employer has neglected to communicate with you, is that your Unifor Bargaining Committee is not in support of this final contract offer, as it lacks substantial gains for you. The membership was very clear that they were looking for wage gains, including retro payments, and an overall monetary compensation package that reflets the important work being done on a daily basis. This offer – in the bargaining committee’s opinion – does not meet what has been mandated by the membership.

The employer has indicated in their communication that "additional break relievers will be on shift and transportation for airside employees can be arranged." Therefore, if you are on shift during the meeting times, please reach out to your supervisor to get clearance to attend one of the upcoming meetings on Monday, November 6th.

As communicated previously, your Unifor Bargaining Committee will review the FULL document (i.e. the employer’s final contract offer) and answer any questions you may have on November 6.

Meeting details can be found by clicking this link.
