Following a set of membership conference calls with Unifor officials last week, members at Flair Airlines have clearly spoken that they are in favour of legal job action – if necessary – in order to obtain a fair and equitable first contract.

96% of the union members at Flair Airlines participated in a vote relating to utilizing job action. The membership overwhelming support their bargaining committee with a 98% yes vote.

"The members at Flair Airlines overwhelmingly support the bargaining committee and their efforts to obtain a fair and equitable first collective agreement," said Euila Leonard, Unifor Local 2002 President.

Unifor and Flair Airlines are scheduled to meet again from June 5-8 in Kelowna where the union is optimistic that a realistic offer will be agreed upon. The bargaining committee has every intention to conclude the bargaining process whereby we reach a tentative agreement.

The bargaining committee would like to thank you, the membership for your ongoing support during these negotiations. Solidarity is critical to our success.

In solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee
Sterling Dunne – Bargaining Committee Representative
Nathan Conley – Bargaining Committee Representative
Ashley Watkins – Assistant to the President
Euila Leonard – President of Unifor Local 2002
Andrea Macbride – National Staff of Unifor
