On Thursday March 20, 2008 representatives from
the District, Local and National Office met with the GTAA to discuss the road
map following the representational vote along with the consequential issues.
The main issues discussed at the meeting were:

Representational rights: Both short and long
term processes were discussed along with the carriage of all the outstanding
grievances.

Description of the Bargaining Unit: What is
required as it pertains to the disclosure of documents.

Collective Bargaining: The consolidation of
all three collective agreements into one.

Company Seniority: The application of
dovetailing ought to be used for the purpose of Company (date of hire)
seniority.
The parties will have more dialogue on these and
other issues later this week. More information will be forth coming as the
process unfolds.
