STRIKE VOTE RESULTS

Between August 13 and 19, base meetings were held across the country. The purpose of these meetings was to answer members’ questions concerning the upcoming round of bargaining talks between the Union and the Company and to conduct a system wide strike vote. The Jazz Tech membership has given their Bargaining Committee an impressive and overwhelming show of confidence and support with 95 per cent in favour of strike action.

This is a show of support for the bargaining committee and provides a mandate for the Union during upcoming negotiations.

Bargaining is to resume in Toronto on August 24. More information will be released as it becomes available.
