MEMBERSHIP UPDATE

On June 1, 2010, Jazz Air LP notified the CAW that it intended to subcontract the Lease Return Inspections on four aircraft - 153,154,158 & 159. The Union demanded a meeting to discuss the situation as it did not feel the actions of the Company were justified. Subsequently a meeting was held on June 3, 2010 and the Union presented its concerns.

Since this meeting, Jazz has formally responded to the CAW advising that it had fulfilled the contractual obligations in accordance with the Collective Agreement and the aircraft were to be sent to Avianor in Mirabelle, Quebec. The Union immediately filed a Policy Grievance which was responded to by the Company indicating it would take the matter to a full Arbitration Process.

We will keep you advised as this situation develops.
